Helping children at risk reach their full potential

Diamond Valley Community Support (DVCS) is committed to helping children at risk reach their full potential, and provides financial assistance to families who are experiencing financial difficulties and are unable to meet the full cost of school.

Through the Youth Education Support - Program (YES Program), we support eligible families with school related expenses, including:

Assistance Rates

Assistance is for up to $200 per child for the school year, January to December.

Eligibility:

•    The child resides in our zoned area of Nillumbik or Banyule and/or the child
      attends school in our zoned area of Nillumbik or Banyule
•    The parent/guardian presents to our office
•    They have an invoice or screenshot of what they would like covered by YES

 

How to apply: 

Applications can be made in person at the DVCS office Monday to Friday 10:00am-4:00pm. No appointment necessary.
 

What can I do if I need help with school costs?

f you are struggling financially to provide for your child’s education, you can come in and have a confidential discussion with one of our Community Support Workers to see if you are eligible for YES.

 

Families may also be eligible for assistance through the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund & The School Saving Bonus to attend school trips and other school organised activities, and assistance with uniforms and footwear through the State Schools’ Relief.
