Northern and Western Child Protection

After hours Child Protection Emergency Service – 13 12 78 (5pm – 9am Monday to Friday, 24 hours on weekends and public holidays). A state-wide after-hours emergency service that receives new reports, as well as concerns for existing child protection clients who are considered to be at immediate risk and require urgent after-hours service.

Kids First

Independent child and family services provider and early education specialist. A purpose driven organisation, our vision is for all children and young people to thrive in resilient, strong and safe families and communities.

The Orange Door

Free service for adults, children and young people who are experiencing or have experienced family violence and families who need extra support with the care of children. 

Berry Street

Child and family welfare organisation that helps children, young people and families recover from the devastating effects of violence, abuse and neglect. Provides a range of programs including housing, counselling, therapeutic programs, outreach service providing early intervention and support to parents in Banyule and Nillumbik with children aged 0 to 17.

Family Relationship Centre - Relationships Vic.

Provides information, referral and family relationship services, primarily family dispute resolution for families experiencing conflict. The centre also has a Community Liaison Officer who networks with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and culturally and linguistically diverse groups and provides a linkage with the community and other service providers in the region.

3081 Angels

Volunteer run, not-for-profit organisation which collects preloved, baby and children's furniture and clothing, toys, nappies and formula to give to families in need in suburbs of the Banyule local government area.

Big Group Hug

Big Group Hug works with local communities to respond to the immediate material needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged children and their families. Can assist with baby and children's furniture and clothing, toys, nappies and formula to give to families in need.

ParentZone

A variety of parenting programs offered at no cost, training and consultancy for professionals in facilitating parent programs, a quarterly newsletter containing information about groups and events, family supports and professional development, a resource library of books, videos and articles about parenting, information about other family support agencies.

Parentline Victoria

State-wide telephone counselling, information and referral service for parents and carers with children from birth – 18 years.
