Carers Victoria

As the peak body for carers, CarersVic represent and support caring families throughout Victoria by working directly with them and collaborating with government, businesses and other community organisations to improve services, systems, and supports. Support extends to connecting carers to a wide range of services, including counselling, funding support, respite, education, and training.

HealthAbility

Provides support groups for Carers of older people and people with disabilities. These groups provide respite, information and support in a relaxed, friendly environment. Come along to share stories, listen to guest speakers and have a coffee and a chat.

Banyule Community Health

The Carer Support Program provides support to carers who are experiencing difficulties related to their caring role. Carers are people who support a family member or friend who is frail or aged, disabled, has a chronic health condition or has a mental illness. Carer Support is provided by an experienced Social Worker. Services include: Assessment, Counselling and Support, Goal setting, Linking carers to appropriate services, Provision of information, Home visits to isolated carers.
