Who we are
Diamond Valley Community Support Inc (DVCS) has supported the local community since 1972.
We are a support, information and referral agency. We are community based and not-for-profit. Our commitment is to ensure that everyone has equal access to information about their rights, responsibilities and services that are available.
Our services are free, confidential, impartial and independent. We respect everyone's right to make their own decisions.
DVCS is managed by a committed and skilled group of volunteers many of whom reside in the local community. The Volunteer staff who interview clients are fully trained and accredited in provision in community information. This course is recognised nationally.
Our Services include:
Provision of Emergency Aid
Information & Referral
We also run the Kingsbury Drive Community Market located at La Trobe University, Car Park 2, Bundoora 3086 every Sunday and the Diamond Valley Op Shop, 44 Aberdeen Road, Macleod 3085. Proceeds from these help to fund our programs and services. For further information contact us on 9435 8282.
Diamond Valley Community Support receives a Charity Tick from the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission(ACNC). The Charity Tick was created by the ACNC to help the public easily identify charities that are registered with the national regulator and comply with transparent financial governance standards and reporting requirements.
The ACNC Register information has approximately 54,000 charities, including DVCS, registered with the Commission. Note: Only charities that meet the regulations are given permission to display the Charity Tick logo.
